Dr Iain McCormick leads the Executive Coaching Centre Limited in New Zealand. It was formed in 2000 to enhance the performance and success of organisations, teams and individuals.

We provide objective and professional direction, training and coaching through a mix of personal contact, telephone, email, pencil and paper and web based tools.

We have highly competent executive coaches in New Zealand (Auckland and Wellington), Australia and Europe.

Executive Coaching

Executive coaching is typically an intensive one-on-one learning process. We enhance organisational, team or individual performance by understanding and developing broad business strategy and competence.

Director evaluation

The Executive Coaching Centre has developed a range of web-based tools to assist in the evaluation and development of directors and senior management. These are all designed to be user-friendly systems that provide comprehensive, yet clear and simple feedback. All the systems provide feedback from a range of individuals and perspectives.

Leadership Development

The Executive Coaching Centre’s approach to leadership development is designed to produce substantial and lasting change. We start with the business strategy or objectives of your organisation and understand which set of leadership competencies are critical for you in your unique context. We have our own set of flexible web based assessments to identify your needs and map out an effective development plan. We will coach you through the plan to ensure success.

Work-Life balance

Managing energy rather than managing time is the key to work life balance. We run highly interactive half day programmes providing effective techniques to enhance your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being. We have e-learning refresher programmes to supplement the course.

Cross cultural competence

The Executive Coaching Centre offers three levels of learning of cross cultural issues: awareness raising - developing an understanding of the range of global cultures and having a model to understand varying beliefs and preferred styles of operating; skill development - developing competence in communicating across cultures and building effective long term business relationships; behaviour change - coaching to assist individual managers with problem solving in cross cultural complex situations. We can also arrange Marae training and visits in conjunction with Ngati Whatua o Orakei.

E-learning systems

The Executive Coaching Centre can develop e-learning modules in Flash or Java on a wide range of people management topics. These modules are based on best practice research, fun and highly informative. We also have a library of ready to use modules.

Web tools

We offer a range of web applications to assist you including customer retention and loyalty surveys, membership surveys, training needs analysis and evaluation.
